Job Title: HWO Rig Technical Coordinator

Principal/Project: Canada
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon qualification and experience

Deputy: Rig Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility for personnel, contracts and HSE matters for the country specific operation.
• Overall responsibility for the execution of drilling operations according to the country and international rules and legislation.
• Overall responsibility for planning and coordination of rig operation in country.
• Hold the contracts for all operation in country.
• Focal point for new clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure that HSE & BMS requirements are enforced.
• Regular total cost control analysis of the drilling operation.
• Contract negotiation with customer & maintaining contact with customers.
• Conceptualizing of tenders & contracts as well as planning & overseeing of the technical aspects of drilling contracts in progress.
• Professional & disciplined management & coordination of the drilling/workover operation.
• Compiling a concise handover book for his relief at crew change.

• Coordinating and delegating of all necessary steps to ensure and maintain proper function of rigs and equipment in country.
• Overall responsible for the technical standards of rigs and equipment in country.

• Initiate/coordinate regular HSE meetings, rig/facilities inspections and audits in country, in close liaison with the HSE department and client, where required.
• Initiate/participate Accident/Incident investigations and approve reports.
• Ensure constant flow of communication of HSE related matters between head office, operators and drilling superintendent of affiliates in country.
• Decides on suggestions for HSE improvements to be undertaken.
• Initiate action where appropriate on receipt of safety returns for country operations.
• Initiate/conduct STOP training.

• Technical university degree.
• Various years of professional experience as drilling engineer abroad.
• Negotiating ability.
• Various years of experience in managerial position.
• Experience on project management.
•Well versed in English language negotiations (knowledge of other foreign languages advantageous).
• Knowledge of modern information technologies.
• Periodical medical examinations.
